On Friday (10/30), the anniversary of the 1971 motorcycle accident that claimed the life of Duane Allman, we learned that a concert is being organized by Warren Haynes to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of a later day member of the Allman Brothers Band, bassist Allen Woody. Another One For Woody is being organized by ABB and Gov't Mule member Warren Haynes for November 22 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. The concert honoring Woody, who passed away in August of 2000, will include sets by the Allmans, Gov't Mule, the North Mississippi Allstars duo of Luther and Cody Dickinson and several other artists. Funds raised from the event will be used to support music programs in schools.
