Musicians Get Out The Vote

No one appreciates robo-calls from politicians.  And pre-recorded messages from celebrities calling on behalf of candidates are even more annoying to a lot of people.  But Headcount.org is betting that an actual phone call from someone's favorite musician can really help get out the vote.  The group has enlisted Grateful Dead, Ratdog and Furthur veteran Bob Weir, Willie Nelson, Jon Fishman of Phish and a number of other musicians to place calls to encourage people to vote in November's mid-term election.  The calls will be placed to many of the 25,000 fans that signed up at concerts for the group's Pledge To Vote campaign.  You have to figure the first response from a lot of call recipients will be 'Right... who is this, really?'
