Rod Stewart May Reunite With Jeff Beck

Rod Stewart has frustrated Ron Wood and other members of the Faces by failing to make good on suggestions that he is open to joining them on some reunion dates.  News that Rod is apparently considering working with Jeff Beck probably means a Faces reunion involving him is getting back-burnered again.  Stewart, who plans to put an end to the series of American Pop Standards albums he has done in recent years with the October 19 release of The Great American Songbook, Vol. V, tells Billboard that he and Beck plan to meet soon in London to discuss working together and to get a feel for what each of them has in mind.  Stewart was lead vocalist for the Jeff Beck Group from 1967 through the first half of 1969, when he left to go solo before hooking-up with Wood again in the Faces.  For his part, Stewart says he's interested in doing some Blues and Country material.
