Ever have someone so excited about telling you a joke that they ask you if you've heard about the one... and use the punch line to identify the joke?  That's kinda like the way the U2 web site is 'hinting' about a pending announcement that the band will make an appearance at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival.  The band is setting itself up for too bad a bashing if it proves not to be the case.  Whether it gets confirmed prior to tickets going on sale this weekend s about the only thing left out of the tease, which pointed out the band has a gap in its 2011 schedule that synchs-up nicely for a Friday appearance at the UK festival.  Manager Paul McGuinness offered, 'We're certainly excited about our plans for next year. Watch this space.'
