Prospects for Aerosmith staying together never looked worse than they did a few weeks ago. So how did one of Rock's most enduring bands manage to save itself this time? Tom Hamilton tells the Boston Herald it had a lot to do with Steven Tyler getting clean and sober and band members coming to the realization during a February meeting that "...for everybody, the coolest thing would be to resolve things'. The session, which Hamilton described as one all involved arrived at 'all lawyered up', produced a surprisingly fast consensus that dissolving the band was the one outcome nobody wanted. After that was clear, things got resolved pretty quickly.
