Steve Miller Doubles Down

After nearly two decades without a new studio album, Steve Miller plans to release two within the next 12 months.  Miller tells Billboard that both will feature covers of Blues and R&B songs he loves.  The first, Bingo, out June 15, will team Miller with Joe Satriani on the BB King song Rock Me Baby and on Sweet Soul Vibe, one of three Jimmy Vaughan songs on the disc.  In all, Miller and his band laid down 42 tracks, many of which will feature Norton Buffalo, the outstanding harp player that was a Steve Miller Band fixture for decades.  Buffalo passed away at the end of October. (story) The Steve Miller Band opens a North American tour May 21 in Henderson, NV and will tour Europe late in the year.
