Last fall Derek Trucks was sounding like he was ready to kick things into a much lower gear and spend much of 2010 at home with his family. (story) Instead, Trucks and wife Susan Tedeschi are hitting the road with a new band.  In addition to the 25-30 dates the Trucks-Tedeschi band has planned, the pair will be finishing up work on a new album, and Derek will make some appearances on the Experience Hendrix tour. Add a puppy and two children and 2010 hardly sounds laid back.  As for what fans can expect from the new band, Tedeschi describes the new songs her husband has been writing as '...sort of Jimi Hendrix meets Joni Mitchell.' Wow.
