Even if Genesis had played at the Rock Hall Of Fame induction ceremony Monday (3/15) (story), Phil Collins would not have been behind the drums.  That is not even an option for Collins, who has been experiencing debilitating problems with his hands for several months now. (story)  Collins updated VH1 on his situation, saying, '...I can't even write my name, let alone play the drums.'  He also revealed he will have surgery on a wrist and elbow Monday (3/22) in the hope it will improve dexterity and reduce the discomfort he has had to put up with.
