U2 Fan Pieces Together Grammy

The search term 'trophy craftsman' proved particularly rewarding for Stuart Allcock, who received a phone call inquiring about repairs to a Grammy award that was in three pieces after having been dropped. The award turned out to be one of the ones U2 collected for the Johsua Tree, the 1987 release that won Album Of The Year at the 1988 Grammy awards and has sold more than 25 million copies. Taunton told The Mirror he was 'dizzy' when he realized the inquiry was really from the band.  He managed to restore the piece, but admits he was disappointed to discover that the gramophone sporting award is actually made of iron.
