Neil Young Closes Vancouver Olympics

Vancouver Winter Olympics officials included dozens of the host country's icons in the opening ceremony. Famous Canadians from all walks of life made appearances or performed, including KD Lang, who did a riveting version of fellow Canadian Leonard Cohen's Halleluiah.  Conspicuously absent were Canadian Rockers.  The games made amends by including Neil Young in the closing ceremony Sunday (2/28) Young, who watched the home team's thrilling overtime win in the Gold Medal men's hockey game, closed the ceremony with a solo acoustic version of Long May You Run as the Olympic flame was extinguished.
