San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom will honor Carlos Santana during a ceremony March 18.  Santana, who was raised in the city, has maintained artistic and charitable connections with the Bay area.  His Milagro Foundation has attracted large contributions from private and corporate sources that have been used to support grass-roots efforts to improve the educational, health and nutrition opportunities for children in the area.
