Plastic Ono Band Comes Together

A portion of the Plastic Ono Band, the group John Lennon and Yoko Ono formed in 1969, came together at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Tuesday (2/16).  Several players rotated through the group, which was featured on Live Peace In Toronto and later backed individual and joint projects Lennon and Ono did into the mid 70's. Charter members Eric Clapton, Klaus Voorman were joined by Jim Keltner (Alan White, later of Yes, was the original drummer) and Sean Lennon on a set that included Yer Blues and Give Peace A Chance, the song Allen Ginsberg, Timothy Leary and Tommy Smothers sang on in Toronto.  Paul Simon and also appeared earlier, playing guitar with his son, Harper.
