2009 was a dream year for Van Morrison.  Astral Weeks performances in Hollywood, New York and London got great reviews, as did the CD and DVD releases culled from the sets.  Enter 2010.  The veteran Irish singer has been confronted with claims he fathered the child of his tour manager (story), and now is being challenged by a 42 year-old woman to submit to a DNA test to prove that he is not her father, too.  Morrison had to respond to the first claim after it appeared as an announcement on his own web site. Contradictions in the statement only added to his problems.  He then announced plans to sue a tabloid for its coverage of the story.  It has all taken a toll on the intensely private Morrison.  he has cancelled Jan. 24 & 25 concerts in Dallas and Ft. Worth Texas due to 'severe exhaustion'.
