Furthur Warm-Up Dates Big Draw

Furthur, the latest incarnation of the Grateful Dead, has done a series of unadvertised warm-up dates at a 225 seat Masonic Hall and a small theater in Marin County, just across the Golden gate Bridge north of San Francisco. The group reunites Bob Weir and Phil Lesh and brings on board John Kadlecik, an exceptional guitarist that earned his tie-dye stripes as a member of the Dark Star Orchestra, the band that recreates entire Grateful Dead concerts with uncanny accuracy.  Low-dough ($25) tickets for the shows got scarce instantly, but that did not deter thousands of Deadheads from descending on the village of Mill Valley with hopes of scoring one. The series wraps with shows in the Masonic Hall Monday and Tuesday (1/11&12).
