Last October we revealed details on plans underway in England to issue postage stamps featuring the cover art of several UK artists.  Thursday (1/7) the series of stamps went into circulation.  Snail mail in Great Britain can now be sent bearing the artwork of Led Zeppelin IV, London Calling from the Clash, The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars by David Bowie, The Division Bell from Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones album Let It Bleed and five other album covers.  Jimmy Page was on hand to help draw attention to the Royal Mail campaign to encourage something as increasingly rare as dropping a needle on vinyl - picking up a pen to write a letter.
