U2 and Bruce Springsteen managed to draw massive crowds despite the economic turmoil during 2009 that had some tours resorting to 2 for 1 ticket deals to fill seats. Even after easing back on ticket prices to lure more fans toward the end of their long tours, U2 and Bruce compiled impressive totals for the year. The U2 360 Tour brought in $123 million, while the Springsteen Working On A Dream trek did $94.5 million in tickets. The combined drawing power of Billy Joel and Elton John was strong enough to secure the number three spot for the two piano men, with $88 million in sales. While Springsteen is off the road indefinitely, U2, and Joel & Elton John have dates planned for 2010.
