Decked out in a blue and gold gown, Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour was rewarded for his 'outstanding contribution to music as a writer, performer and innovator' by his alma mater Wednesday (11/11) with a doctor of arts degree.  Angila Ruskin University (Cambridge College of Arts and Technology when Gilmour and band mate Syd Barrett attended), honored Gilmour despite his scathing attack on British education in the song Another Brick In The Wall - something easy to disregard when it involves a graduate with the resources to be a very generous alumni donor.
