Grammys Honor Neil Young

Canadian native Neil Young will join the ranks of MusiCares Person Of The Year honorees during a Jan. 29 event at the Convention Center in LA in his honor.  The award is given annually to a figure in the music industry for their support of good causes as well as in recognition of the recipient's artistic excellence. The evening to honor Young, who ironically has never  been awarded a Grammy of his own, will include performances from his CSN&Y band mates David Crosby, Steve Stills and Graham Nash, along with James Taylor, Sheryl Crowe, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and others.  Given his reluctance to show up at awards events, organizers would do well to have a body double available to fill Young's seat.
