Wanted: Ultimate Deadhead

The University of California, Santa Cruz has posted a job opening for an archivist to take over managing the university's Grateful Dead collection.  The archive, thought to be the most comprehensive collection of the Bay Area band's Long, Strange Trip, includes virtually every form of memorabelia, much of it provided by band insiders. The New York Historical Society hosts an exhibit that draws from the UCSC collection starting in March (story). Applicants must have a masters in archives management and "expert knowledge in the history of and scholarship of contemporary popular music, or American vernacular culture, perferably the history and influence of the Grateful Dead", man.
