Don't expect this latest development to last because nearly every twist in the soap opera Aerosmith has become in recent months has been followed by a turn in another direction, but Joe Perry told the Las Vegas Sun "Steven quit as far as I can tell" following the band's recent appearance in Abu Dhabi.  Perry told the paper that aside from their time on stage during two shows in Hawaii and at the Grand Prix performance in Abu Dhabi, Tyler has had 'no contact' with other band members, and has failed to return his phone calls.  Perry admits his belief about Tyler's intentions is based on reports the lead singer plans to go solo (story) rather than anything he has told the band.
