The abandoned building in Macon, Georgia may not look like much now, but it was once the epicenter of Southern Rock.  The structure at 548 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard housed Capricorn Studios, the site of recording sessions that produced signature albums from the Allman Brothers, the Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Wet Willie, Grinderswitch and others.   While the Capricorn headquarters is on a Places In Peril list of structures the Georgia Trust hopes to preserve, that will probably not prevent it from being auctioned Tuesday (11/3).  The current owner estimates that the building, which is valued at $433,000, needs nearly $2 million in repairs.
