The Fillmore East, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall... The Grateful Dead has been represented on marquees throughout Manhattan for decades. This week, the band gets honored on the biggest marquee of all, the Empire State Building. The landmark will be illuminated in tie-dye colors to note the Wednesday (10/21) appearance of Bob Weir and Phil Lesh at a reception hosted by the New York Historical Society.
