The wife of Eagles co-founding member Randy Meisner apparently died of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound in the couple's Hollywood home on Sunday (3/6). An LAPD statement indicates that Lana Meisner was moving a rifle from a storage case in a closet when something else in the closet shifted, causing the firearm to discharge. The former Eagles member has reportedly had legal and mental health issues in recent months and the shooting occurred on the same evening that police had evidently made an earlier visit to investigate a domestic abuse call. The LAPD indicates the musician has been 'cooperative' with their investigation.
