Lennon locks bring 35K

A lock of hair a German stylist tucked away after trimming John Lennon's hair in 1967 for his role in How I Won The War sold in a Dallas auction for $35,000.  The 4" strands were purchased from Heritage Auctions by a British collector, Paul Fraser, whose web site has transacted several rare, high-end Beatles artifacts. A pre-trim photo of Lennon autographed that was taken shortly before the stylist sat him down to make him more plausible as Private Gripweed in the black comedy was sold during the same auction for $2,125, while a signed photo of all four Beatles brought $42,500 and an intact ticket that belonged to someone that did not attend the group's US concert debut in Washington, DC was bought for $30,000.
