Beatles contract fetches more than $550,000

The only document know to have been signed by all four Beatles and Brian Epstein brought proved to be a very good investment for the collector that paid a bit more than $364,000 for it 7 years ago.  The Sotheby's auction of the contract the group and its manager signed in 1962 was purchased for $554,000.  A page extracted form the detention records of John Lennon while he attended high school was bought for $3,873.  The bargain of the sale was a batch of manuscripts, clothing and instruments belonging to Jack Bruce of Cream which brough a top bid of  just over $1,000.
