ELO strikes comeback deal

Electric Light Orchestra has orchestrated a deal for a comeback album. Jeff Lynne says the new work will be in the same vein as the group's distinctive former sound that some referred to as pop prog.  News the band was considering coming back together to work on new material first emerged around the time of a reunion concert staged in Hyde Park last year.  Last November, Jeff Lynne told Classic Rock that ELO was a 'going concern'.  That's now in writing in the form of a new album contract with Columbia Recrds.
