Cheap Trick has albums up sleeves

Tom Perersson says that Cheap Trick has plans to put out two albums in 2016, a disc of vintage material and one of newly written songs.  The band, which had replaced Bun E Carlos on drums with Daxx Nielsen, the son of guitarist Rick Nielsen, settled a lawsuit filed by Carlos, who contended he expected to remain a member even though he'd decided he would rather not be the touring drummer any longer.  The agreement apparently restores him as a Cheap Trick member, but does not preclude the group from having someone else play drums.  As for the longer term outlookk for the group, Petersson told the Macomb Daily that Trick plans on releaseing new albums for each year for as long as they remain a band.
