Director Ivo van Hove told the BBC that David Bowie does not plan to appear in Lazarus, his upcoming musical based on The Man Who Fell To Earth.  He does call the music David is providing for the production 'classics', saying that even some of the new songs Bowie has written, '...sound as if you have heard them forever'.  The singer did appear in the 1976 screen version of the sci-fi film based on the 1963 novel.
