The contentious relationship between Ray and Dave Davies has simmered and flared throughout their lives and even erupted on occasion on stage.  It has also thwarted several attempts to reunite.  Ray indicated during a recent conversation with Mojo that a Kinks 50th reunion tour will go on even if his brother elects not to participate.  The Kinks Facebook page countered quickly with a post claiming, 'MOJO is wrong. There will be NO Kinks reunion tour without BOTH Ray and Dave Davies. Ray Davies claims to have never said this.'
