A 2.5 acre space in the neighborhood Jimi Hendix spent his youth in has broken ground after organizers raised more than $1 million towards the project. The late guitar legend's sister, Janie Hendrix, said the park honoring her brother is a tribute the family greatly appreciates. 'Every project endorsed by our family which bears Jimi's name is meaningful to us, but this park holds special significance', said Janie, and added, '...this musical garden is a fitting representation of Jimi's imagination. It's truly inspired.'
