4/22/1950 Peter Frampton born

Peter Frampton was born on this day in 1950 in Kent in the UK.  Peter and David Bowie met in a technical high school that Frampton's father was an arts instructor at and encouraged both to pursue music.  Peter would go on to join a group known as The Herd and later become a member of Humble Pie at just 18.  His bold decision to go solo in 1971 would be rewarded with the release of Frampton Comes Alive!, the 1976 double live release that became one of the best selling live albums in Rock history.
